Take a size 10 hook and apply a coat of clear varnish to the hook shank. |
Run the tying thread from the eye down to the bend of the hook. |
Wind the lead wire around the hook shank in touching turns. |
Secure the lead wire with the tying thread. |
Tie in 0.12 mm diameter nylon. |
Dub on some fur and wind up to just short of the centre of the hook. |
Change the dubbing colour for a short centre section. |
Revert to the original dubbing colour to finish and then rib the body with gold wire. |
Tie a clear or coloured vinil strip behind the eye of the hook. |
Bind down the overbody with vinil (rubber) foil to the bend of the hook. |
Rib the body with nylon and make the body segmented. |
Tie the head, whip finish, and varnish. |
